Billboard to Table

Coca-Cola is one of the the most advertised brands in the world. Their message of  togetherness has touched just about everyone. But at a time where moments of real connection are becoming more and more precious, rather than just sharing a message of togetherness, how can Coca-Cola actually bring people together? The way it has always been done– a meal, humanity’s great connector.

But not just any meal, a meal with a recipe every culture in the world can relate to: Good food, great company, and an ice cold Coca-Cola. And what better place to bring our meal to life than Queens, NYC? Home to people from 120 countries and over 300 languages. One of the most diverse cities in the world. We partnered with chef and culinary creator Sohla El- Waylly to create a menu that would not only showcase the diverse flavors of the neighborhood, but feed it as well. There was just one problem– how do we create a magical experience big enough for Queens? The answer was right in front of us– a four thousand pound billboard.

Our billboard went up before the Event and took to the community what’s to come. Then, we did the impossible: a 2-ton billboard became our table. The result was an awe-inspiring public gesture that turned a billboard designed to talk to a community, into a table that brought it together. And reminded all of us, of the magic that happens, when we share a meal. That’s real magic.
